who am i?
tell me the way things are and have always been, and i'll tell you how things should be. i adore knowledge, but would rather discover for myself than to have someone lecture me. i'm the intellectual who prefers thought and wonderment, the scientist who continues asking questions, the philosopher who only knows that reality exists.
i can observe a work of art and ask "how?" without needing an answer. i can walk through a landscape--from a forest to a garden, to a landfill--and admire its beauty. i see things for their plusses and minuses; i see the forest as well as the trees.
i don't criticize other people or their beliefs. i don't press my opinion as fact, nor do i state truths of my life as though they are true for everyone. likewise, i do not hold any statistics in high regard.
i respect everything's and everyone's right to life, from ants to whales, fetuses to murderers. i don't expect anyone to agree with me, as we're all unique, as God intended us. people will always have arguments, and i am annoyed by those who cannot accept differing opinions.
i find no moral issue in killing animals for food or clothing, as i believe they were put on this earth for man. i respect our environment, and am therefore against any action that blatantly harms it.
i believe our government is corrupt, in part or in whole, and i do not think any vote i can cast would influence a change for the better; as such, i have no plans to ever seriously enter into, or even follow, politics.
who am i? rebel to the world man has created, servant to the God who has created earth: i am syzygy; hear me mew.
